£18,000 – £25,000 plus package (dependant on work/project experience)

The Company

A nationally recognised maintenance and refurbishment contractor who work with a wide range of clients in both the public and private sector – predominantly from social housing with the addition of education and healthcare, are currently looking to expand their commercial team and appoint a Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be required to work between the office and local sites in the North West.

This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified / still training Quantity Surveyor who is looking for their next role where they develop on their existing skills in the work place. You will have access to a strong coaching and mentoring environment.

The client are looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of 4 days per week; full time is the ideal outcome. The candidate must either hold/finishing off a HNC / HND / Degree. The Trainee / Assistant Quantity will work very closely with the current QS offering support with:
” Sub-Contractor applications
” External valuations
” Procure and order materials
” Update ledger reports
” Other general admin

The Person Spec

TO APPLY, YOU MUST HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED FOR A CONTRACTOR WHERE YOU CAN DEMONSTARTE A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS, RECENT WORK HISTORY

The applicant must have a current drivers licence and own transport to start with. There will be an opportunity after probation to access a company vehicle.

The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, well organised, a problem solver and driven. In addition you must have worked in a construction / building environment.
