A local building company based in the North West are actively seeking a Freelance Site Manager to support within their “Private Works” team, on a school refurbishment, as part of the “Building schools for the future” investment programme.
As a building company, this business operates nationwide to cover maintenance, refurbishment and repairs works to support on large frameworks with; local housing associations, schools, councils etc.
Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, your role will include the following:
” The management, co-ordination and delivery of the project, operatives, subcontractors, materials and for ensuring that it runs to the agreed timescales
” Monitoring team performance for both direct and subcontractor employees
” Production of weekly reports against forecast
” Provide a safe working environment by adhering to the correct health and safety procedures
This is a five week temporary contract for an experienced Freelance Site Manager. You will be responsible for managing a refurbishment and some mechanical and electrical upgrades within a local school in Dukinfield, Manchester.
To be a successful Site Manager within this role you will have previous experience working on school refurbishments/ maintenance sites or experience working on corporate buildings. It is also essential that you have a valid Managers CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid qualification.
The Important Details
This is a five week temporary contract starting on 31st July 2017 so you will need to be available to commit to these dates. In addition you will be happy to complete a telephone interview with the Contracts Manager before the start date.
