Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join a well-established contractor specialising in new build affordable housing projects in the Manchester area. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career with a supportive and growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the procurement of materials and plant for multiple housing sites

• Placing orders using the COINS system

• Liaising with site teams and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries

• Supporting the senior buyer in negotiating prices and managing supplier relationships

• Maintaining procurement records and assisting in stock control

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 4 or higher in a relevant subject

• Proven experience using COINS software (essential)

• Valid CSCS Card

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Previous experience in a buying role within the new build housing sector
