Position: Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Buyer

Salary: £40,000 (Negotiable)

We are working with a family-owned land engineering contractor specialising in land restoration, soil treatment, and contaminated land solutions. Operating across construction, infrastructure, and environmental management, they are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Buyer to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cash flow projections for the Director
- Support estimating and pricing of works
- Prepare and finalise weekly valuations
- Compile and submit variations, responding to client queries to facilitate prompt payment
- Procure sub-contract packages and oversee their progress
- Maximise project opportunities on re-measurable contracts
- Issue payment certificates and invoices
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of procurement processes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant software
- A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills
