The Company

  • An award-winning building contractor with 40 years-experience in the social housing sector based in the North West of England, are currently looking for an experienced Bid Manager to lead their Bid Management Team working on the installation of energy efficiency measures, including EWI and new windows & doors schemes

The Role

  • Responsible for managing the production of all bid documentation to secure new and future business for the company
  • Managing the production of all company submissions including tender quality proposals, pre-qualification proposals, expression of interest proposals and customer information documents
  • Ensuring the quality and literacy of the proposals is correct and accurate
  • Supporting the procurement process by assisting as required with interviews, presentations and provision of market intelligence
  • Gathering and developing information relating to specific tenders, projects of interest, long term opportunities and market procurement developments
  • Identifying and suggesting actions relating to new procurement and delivery methods
  • Setting up/maintaining best practice library of company submissions, competitor information, performance case studies, procurement/market developments/success/conversion rates
  • Providing information as required to the client’s procurement knowledge centre
  • Providing efficient feedback to the Business Development and Marketing Manager as required
  • Developing a bid strategy to achieve an excellent success rate for company bids by identifying winning themes

Skills and relevant experience

  • Strong experience within this role working for social housing contractors/housing associations
  • Must have the ability to structure and write bid responses, writing structured answers to questions and coordinate the bid process
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong negotiation skills
  • Experienced with Energy efficiency & External wall insulation works preferred but not essential
