Key Information

• A local Social Housing Refurbishment contractor are currently looking to recruit a New Permanent Position of a Senior Estimator, due to growth within the business
• This role will be working on refurbishment and retrofit schemes within the area and predominately based in their Walsall office
• As a business, this company are established within the Social Housing sector and work with several housing associations and councils throughout the area to complete a wide range of refurbishment schemes
• Due to continuously achieving targets set, this company is looking for additional support within the Senior Estimator role

The Role

• Working alongside the Regional Manager and Branch Manager
• Undertake the production of accurate and competitive pricing for tenders for new and existing clients, within a Social Housing Refurbishment environment
• Your focus will be on growth and improving the success in the tenders submitted, considering the competitive edge in everything you do
• Work closely with the project team to ensure that estimates are accurate and up-to-date
• Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials Development of schedule of rates by using expert knowledge of the industry
• Build relationships with subcontractors to obtain reliable and accurate estimates
• Obtain and compare alternative subcontractor quotes to get the most economically advantageous quote for tenders
• Prepare bid packages and proposals

What you need to succeed?

• To be a successful Senior Estimator within this role, you will have extensive experience within Estimating and looking for a great permanent opportunity to help to continue to develop the company
• In addition, you will be computer literate and have strong organisation skills
• Proven experience of around 8-10 years as a Senior Estimator or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of methods, materials, and regulations
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good IT skills
• Experience in pricing energy retrofit into social housing and other refurbishment schemes
• Experience in social housing retrofit/refurb is desirable
