• A refurbishment and fit out company who design and create extraordinary spaces are looking for an in house Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Manchester
• They are looking for someone who focus’ on quality and detail and a great communicator to join their team

The Role

• Build and lead a Mechanical design team who are responsible for the self-delivery of undertake mechanical design for commercial office/leisure projects – up to £3m in value
• Undertake the design of mechanical services, either from a site survey or scheme report, drafting drawings, undertaking calculations and production of specifications
• Undertake and lead mechanical services design projects
• Work together with in house contract managers and project managers to represent this company in meetings
• Undertake defects inspections and issue appropriate certifications
• Continue to develop your own, as well as junior staff members CPD activities
• Provide technical support to mechanical trade packages on site to ensure smooth delivery of the project

Qualifications / Experience

• Fully competent and experience within the Building services design industry
• Previous experience working in a similar role and performing the above duties
• Must have either a degree in Building services or be able to demonstrate qualification through experience
• Must be fully conversant with ACAD and have interest in moving towards REVIT MEP
• Experience of undertaking BRUKL/SBEM calculations on IES or similar
• Takes ownership and responsibility of your workload
• Great communicator
• Used to multi-tasking and working on multiple projects that are all at different stages
• Must be a self-starter
• Hold a Full UK Drivers licence
