Key Information
- An established contractor specialising in fire safety and electrical services throughout the UK are actively looking to recruit a Site Manager on a permanent basis to start on a project due to continuous growth and securing a new large scale M&E upgrade
- They are looking to appoint a Site Manager with experience of working in occupied high rise social housing blocks managing multiple trades
- The project includes M&E upgrades to 7 x high rise blocks including new fire alarms, lighting, PA systems, boosted cold water system, Automatic
- Opening Vents (AOVs) and associated builders works. The project is due to run for a period of 18 months
- This is a great opportunity for a permanent role with a strong pipeline of similar sized projects in the North West following completion
The Role
- Ensuring all aspects of the installation ae completed on project
- Controlling deliveries of materials and equipment on site
- Full CDM 2015 site compliance control & management as required by the regulations
- Daily and weekly contractor & Client meetings with minutes as required
- Weekly programme review meetings
- Conducting site inductions and control of sub-contractors
- Administration & maintenance of site daily and weekly records
- Regular, site-specific toolbox talks
- Site based PC Site Manager
- Review and maintenance of the site H&S file and CPP
- Liaison with site operations and security on a daily basis
- Assistance with full site project management
- Conducting site specific method statements and risk assessments
- Control a permit to work system and grant access to restricted areas when required
- Accident reporting and investigation
Qualifications and Experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- Qualified First Aider
- Valid CSCS/ECS Card
- Previous Site Manager experience, preferably in construction or social housing
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach
- IT literate and a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft based programmes to include Word, Excel and Outlook is essential
