  • Site Manager – Social Housing
  • Duration: Perm
  • Salary: £38k – £42k per annum
  • Company vehicle or car allowance, company benefits incl. 34 days holiday
  • Location: Manchester, but will be working in Blackburn for the time being
  • Start time 7AM – 4:30PM Monday to Thursday and Friday finish at 3:30PM

The Role

  • Responsible for all the organization of all site duties
  • Ordering and control of materials
  • Control of all subcontract and directly employed labour
  • Chairing site meetings
  • Liaison with architects, consultants and with the client
  • Ensuring required finish is achieved
  • Supervising handover of project to the client
  • Planning and co-ordinating work programmes
  • Supervising, advising and co-ordinating sub-contractors and staff
  • Sourcing materials, negotiating prices and terms of business
  • Budgetary Control
  • Inspecting all works in accordance with NHBC standards and local authority building control
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and safety and CDM regulations
  • Liaising with local authority planning officials
  • Liaising with utility companies

Qualifications and experience

  • Valid CSCS preferable, but not needed
  • Valid SMSTS required
  • Asbestos Awareness desirable
  • Working at heights desirable
  • NVQ Level 6 Site Manager desirable
