Position: Plant Mechanic
Location: Blackburn
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Plant Mechanic to join a well-established business in Blackburn on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment, as well as a small fleet of vans, cars, and wagons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, service, and repair a range of plant equipment and vehicles

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults

• Ensure all equipment is compliant with LOLER and PUWER regulations

• Keep accurate maintenance and inspection records

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar plant maintenance role

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

• Familiarity with LOLER and PUWER compliance

• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Ability to work independently and manage own workload
