Position: Civil Design Engineer
Location: Warrington

We’re recruiting a Civil Design Engineer to join the Technical team of a leading volume housebuilder in Warrington. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of civil design packages and contribute to efficient, compliant, value-engineered solutions across new residential developments. Ideal for someone who’s eager to learn, develop, and grow within a high-performing technical function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare civil engineering design concepts and detailed packages for new housing developments

• Use design software (PDS, Causeway Flow) to develop highways, drainage, and earthworks solutions

• Manage the process for technical approvals including S278, S38, S104 and S185

• Collaborate closely with internal departments and external consultants to deliver robust, cost-effective designs

Requirements:

• Experience within residential development or consultancy supporting housebuilding projects

• Understanding of highways and drainage design principles

• Knowledge of PDS and/or Causeway Flow (beneficial)

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Proactive approach with a willingness to develop technical capability
