Position: Buyer

We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer for a permanent opportunity based in Warrington. The successful candidate must have a strong civil engineering buying background and experience procuring materials and services within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure materials, plant and services for civil engineering projects
• Source suppliers and negotiate competitive prices and terms
• Manage purchase orders and ensure materials are delivered in line with project programmes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
• Work closely with commercial and operational teams to meet project requirements
• Monitor costs and identify opportunities to achieve best value

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Buyer within civil engineering (essential)
• Strong knowledge of civils materials, suppliers and procurement processes
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple project requirements and deadlines

Salary:

• £40,000–£45,000 per annum
• Permanent position
